Roger's Run 2020

Celebrate 10 years and still running with Roger's Run 4 AMC! Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we will be taking our event virtual this year.  Just because we are going virtual you can still participate by helping us raise awareness and funds for AMCSI. To date we have raised over 90,000 for AMCSI and our goal this year is to raise an additional $10,000 to bring us to $100,00.00 raised for AMCSI. 

How does a virtual event work?


You will have a period of 10 days (get it to celebrate 10 years:) to run or walk your virtual distance. Saturday, June 20th through Monday, June 29th 2020 at 3:00 PM. Please submit your results by 3:00 PM on June 29th.


Step 1.

Pick your distance and register (remember to register early for discounted entry). This year we are offering a 1 mile, 5k, and new for our 10 year anniversary a 10k distance.


Additionally we are adding a 10 year, 10 mile Trifecta where you run each of the distances (1mile, 5k (3.1miles), and 10k (6.2 miles) to equal 10.3miles total. The trifecta can be run all at once or broken up any time over the 10 day duration. For example you could run 1 mile the first day, your 5k two days later and your 10k three days after that. Or if you are like Coach Pam and love long distances you could run all 10.3miles in the same day. So many options!


Step 2.

Now that you have picked your distance and registered, what's next?

  • Using your car, Garmin, map my run or other tracking device, plan out a route that equals your desired distance. 

  • Run or walk your distance any time or day between June 20th and June 29th, 2020. 

  • Submit your final time through the get me registered link

Step 3.

Share your training journey on our AMC Run4Roger Facebook page, upload pictures to social media using the hashtag #rogersrun4am or #irun4roger. We hope to see all kinds of running photos and videos.


Finally stay tuned for awards to be raffled off every day during the June 20-29th 2020 time frame. Each day we will raffle off a door prize to a registered participant. Please submit your results by 3:00 PM on June 29th.

Local Business Support

Every year we are supported by many small local businesses, this year due to the pandemic our small businesses have taken a major hit. We want to give back by purchasing gift cards from local small businesses to be raffled off. If you are not a runner or a walker but want to help our event in some way you can donate and more specifically this year when you make a donation you can choose to either support the cause (AMCSI) or choose one of the local businesses to support.


How does this work?

When you paypal or venmo your donation to Roger's Run 4 AMC in the memo or note area you can specify where you would like the donation to go; AMCSI or Local Business. We will then take any money raised for the generic Local Business and use that money to purchase gift cards from the businesses that have supported us in the years past. For example our family will be sponsoring the 1 large Cheese pizza per month from Village Pizza III in Red Hook. Ben has donated that every year! So this year we are donating it back! Get the idea???

The Rookie 2 Runner program is back!

This is a 6 week virtual training program that will begin on May 12th and run through June 20th. Although the program is free there is a suggested donation and you must register for this through the getmeregistered site.


1 mile - All finishers who submit a time will receive a finisher's medal


5k - This will be a competitive race with age group categories/winners: M/F under 10 years, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and over 70. 


10k - Awards will be given to the top 3 overall Male and Female finishers (no age group awards)


10 year, 10 mile Trifecta - all submitted finishers will receive a Roger's Run pint glass.



In order to receive a shirt you must pre-order by June 7th (so that shirts can be available by June 20th). This year's theme is Rainbow Tye Dye Shirts. (caveat depends on the re-opening of shirt company as this might be slightly delayed due to covid-19). Shirt pre-orders are available during online registration.


This year is slightly different, you will notice there is an option to buy a shirt when you register. This is because we will need to mail or deliver the shirts (will cost$) and we still want to be able to raise funds for the cause. To date we have raised over $90,000 and are hoping to reach the 100,000 mark.
